Terms of Service

1. What We Offer

Tapora makes custom 3D-printed NFC keychains and badges. Each product contains an NFC chip and a printed QR code that both redirect to a URL of your choice. You manage where that URL points from your dashboard — changes take effect immediately and can be updated unlimited times.

Products are made to order. We 3D-print, program the NFC chip, and ship from our EU workshop. There is no subscription fee; the dashboard is free to use indefinitely after purchase.

2. Ordering

Prices are displayed in EUR and include VAT where applicable. By clicking "Pay" at checkout you make a binding offer to purchase. A contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to cancel an order if we cannot fulfill it (e.g., supply issues), in which case we will issue a full refund.

Payment is processed by Viva Payments. We do not store your card details. For payment disputes, contact us first — we will resolve most issues within 48 hours without the need for a chargeback.

Volume pricing: orders of 5+ units may qualify for tiered pricing shown on the product page. For orders of 50+ units, contact us for a custom quote.

3. Product Customisation

Products may be customised with your colour choices and an optional logo or graphic (uploaded as SVG). By uploading a design, you confirm:

• You own the design or have rights to use it commercially.
• The design does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, trademarks, or copyright.
• The design does not contain illegal, offensive, or defamatory content.

You retain full ownership of your uploaded designs. We use them solely to manufacture your order and delete them once production is complete (see our Privacy Policy).

We reserve the right to refuse production of designs that we deem infringe third-party rights or violate these terms, in which case we will contact you before cancelling.

4. Dashboard & NFC Link Management

Each product is assigned a permanent short code (e.g., tap.tapora.io/abc123). This short code is embedded in the NFC chip and printed QR code at the time of manufacture and cannot be changed after production.

From your dashboard you can update the destination URL at any time. The redirect is live immediately. You can set a single destination URL, a multi-link page, or use advanced redirect modes.

We commit to keeping the tap.tapora.io redirect service available for the lifetime of your product. In the unlikely event we must discontinue the service, we will give at least 90 days' notice and provide an export of your short codes and destination URLs.

You may not use the redirect service to link to content that is illegal, harmful, misleading, or that infringes third-party rights. We reserve the right to disable short codes that are used in violation of these terms.

5. Shipping

We ship from Malta within approximately 48 hours of payment confirmation on business days (Monday–Friday, excluding Maltese public holidays). Delivery times vary by destination:

• Malta: 1–2 business days
• European Union: 3–7 business days
• Rest of world: 7–14 business days

Shipping costs are displayed at checkout and depend on destination and order size. Free shipping thresholds are shown on product pages and at checkout.

Risk of loss passes to you on delivery to the carrier. If a parcel is lost in transit, contact us and we will investigate with the carrier. If confirmed lost, we will reprint and reship at no additional cost.

6. Returns & Consumer Rights

For full details, see our Returns Policy. In summary:

• Personalised products (custom colour or logo) are exempt from the EU 14-day right of withdrawal under Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU, as they are made to your specifications.
• Standard products (no custom logo) may be returned within 14 days of delivery, unused and in original packaging, for a full refund.
• Defective or damaged items — contact us within 30 days and we will replace or refund at our cost, regardless of customisation.

7. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You may not share your account or transfer NFC products to a third party without updating the linked email address and NFC destination accordingly.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, are involved in fraud, or are used to engage in abuse of the redirect service.

8. Intellectual Property

All website content, product designs, the Tapora brand, and software are owned by or licensed to Tapora. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our materials without written permission.

Your uploaded designs and content remain yours. We claim no ownership over designs you upload for customisation.

9. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Subject to the above, our total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or business losses.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Malta. As an EU business, we are subject to EU consumer protection law. If you have a dispute we cannot resolve directly, you may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. Changes affecting your rights will be notified by email or by notice on the site at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
